Manchester United are set to be without Marcus Rashford for the opening weeks of next campaign after he decided to opt for surgery to clear-up one of his long-term issues.
The England star played 59 matches for United this season, despite carrying a couple of persistent injuries along the way.
Rashford has endured pain in his foot, as well as a problem with his shoulder that kept him out for up to four months in 2020.
While Rashford needs procedures to clear up both issues, the Mirror claim he’s prioritising a problem with his foot and will have surgery on it after the Euros this summer.
Rashford postponed having surgery throughout the campaign in order to help the Red devils and he will play through the pain at the Euros to avoid missing out on the opportunity of glory with England.
England have set a minimum target of the semi-finals and should they get to the final on July 11th, Rashford will have only 34 days to recover for the start of the league season if he was to have immediate surgery.

United have a host of options in attack and will give Rashford all the time he needs to recover, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to have Jadon Sancho at his disposal by that point.
Mason Greenwood has already withdrawn from England’s Euros squad amid his fitness concerns, while Alexander-Arnold will play no part after sustaining a thigh injury in their friendly against Austria.
