Suspended Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos argued with Massimiliano Allegri over Wednesday’s controversial penalty decision and could now face another ban.
The Spain international watched from the stands as Juventus scored three times at the Bernabeu before coming down to the touchline to try and cheer up his teammates.
There was a five-minute delay between the penalty being awarded and Ronaldo scoring the penalty, and Allegri could be seen having an heated argument with Ramos in the dugout in the meantime.
After the match, Allegri explained their disagreement: ‘Ramos said the penalty was “claro” (clear) and I told him: “Not so claro, let’s say grey”.
‘I also told him that in the first leg in the 92nd minute there was a penalty on (Juan) Cuadrado. I only told him that.
‘But it’s normal, there has to be some anger and regret because at that point Buffon was also sent off.
‘Also, Benatia should have been sent off because he already had one yellow card. So let’s just say there was general confusion overall.’
Ramos’ presence in the tunnel broke UEFA rules which says that a player is not allowed to be in the area of the stadium during the match or in the immediate aftermath.
His actions, and argument with Allegri, could therefore bring a fresh suspension if referee Michael Oliver talks about it in his post-match report.
It has also been reported that Juventus players and staff tried to confront the referee and a number of Real Madrid players who were celebrating in the tunnel.
