Mourinho responds to rumours that Pogba has been offered to PSG

Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Paul Pogba will still be a Manchester United player next campaign.

Pogba has had a difficult season at Old Trafford and the midfielder found himself out of Mourinho’s starting XI.

Some reports claim that Pogba and Mourinho had fallen out but the France international bounced back by winning United’s Player of the Month award for April.

This hasn’t stopped the rumours linking Pogba with an exit this summer.

Asked about the recent rumours, Mourinho said: ‘I think he’s going to be here next season.

‘I can give the guarantee that I don’t want him to leave, that the club doesn’t want to sell him.

‘And I can give you the guarantee that we don’t have any approach from him or his agent or from any club. In this moment for me, he’s staying, yes.’

Pogba recently denied that there was a bust-up with Mourinho and cooled speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.

He told Canal Plus : ‘I do not have any problem with Mourinho, I do not think he has either.

‘He is the coach, he’s going to make choices and I as a player, I accept them. That is all.

‘For now I’m at Manchester United, I really only think about the present. Transfers are not in my head.

‘You know, if I listened to everyone, I would be everywhere.’
