Gary Neville has blasted Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana for his ‘really poor’ blunder which led to Manchester City’s goal in a 1-0 defeat for the Blues.
Julian Alvarez scored the only goal of the match after just 12 minutes at the Etihad as Man City’s Premier League title celebrations got underway on Sunday afternoon.
Alvarez pulled away from his marker and slotted home after Palmer picked him out with a superb through ball.

But the attacking move started when Chelsea’s Fofana gifted possession to Kalvin Phillips, who passed to Palmer to provide the assist for Alvarez.
‘Really poor give away from Fofana,’ Neville said during commentary of the game on Sky Sports.
‘It is never in doubt from Palmer, it is so accurate and precise with his pass, brilliant when Alvarez is one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
‘City may have made more changes, but they have started much better than Chelsea.’
Fofana was one of the players who arrived at Chelsea this campaign with the central defender signed in a deal worth £75m from Leicester City.
The 22-year-old had played 18 games for the Blues, in what has been a disappointing season for the west Londoners.
Their poor season comes despite the club spending more than £600m on players since co-owner Todd Boehly took over from Roman Abramovich.
