Victor Osimhen has dropped a significant hint about a potential transfer to Manchester United.

Recruitment has become a focal point for Man United, especially after Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired a minority stake.

Despite securing Rasmus Hojlund for £72 million last summer, the Red Devils are still eyeing a forward. Osimhen’s name remains in discussions for a move to Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens.

The Napoli star has been heavily linked with a transfer, thanks to his impressive goal-scoring record in Italy.

He has netted 11 league goals in 16 appearances this season, following up on his 31-goal tally across all competitions last season.

Manchester United are closely monitoring his situation, indicating their interest in making a move.

There’s a possibility the 25-year-old is receptive to joining Man United, given that he possesses one of the club’s shirts.

However, he also has a Chelsea shirt, suggesting that the Blues are also keeping an eye on him.

Speaking on John Obi Mikel’s podcast, Osimhen revealed: “I don’t have a favourite Premier League team but I’ve two jerseys: Chelsea and Man United.”

He added: “Many friends of mine are Chelsea fans, few are Man United fans. Premier League is the most appreciated league by every African player – it’s a huge league.”

Securing Osimhen’s talents won’t be inexpensive, given his staggering £94 million release clause. Moreover, it’s not solely Manchester United and Chelsea who view him favorably.

Arsenal are believed to admire Osimhen and might consider bolstering their forward options in the upcoming transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain, facing the imminent departure of Kylian Mbappe, have earmarked the Nigerian as a prospective successor.
