Havertz made history in Arsenal’s win at Sheffield United that can never be done again

Kai Havertz etched his name in history during Arsenal’s 6-0 victory over Sheffield United on Monday night.

The German player scored Arsenal’s fourth goal within 25 minutes at Bramall Lane, bringing his tally to eight goals in all competitions for the Gunners.

Players such as Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, and Ben White also found the back of the net, but it was Havertz who scored a goal of historic significance.

Havertz executed a splendid finish past Ivo Grbic, and according to Sky Sports, his goal marked the 150,000th in English top-flight history.

This milestone holds significant weight for the former Chelsea forward, who has been consistently performing since his £65 million summer transfer.

Arsenal held a commanding 5-0 lead at halftime, with White adding a sixth goal with a superb strike from outside the box in the 58th minute.

Yet another resounding victory solidified their place in the annals of club history.

The team from North London accomplished a remarkable feat, becoming the first club in English football history to score at least five goals in three consecutive away matches.

Their scoring spree began with a five-goal haul away at Burnley, followed by a dominant 6-0 victory at West Ham’s London Stadium the previous week.

Their relentless attacking prowess was evident against Sheffield United, who now hold the unwanted record of being the first team in English football league history to concede at least five goals in four consecutive home matches across all competitions.

Brighton managed to score five against them twice, while Aston Villa inflicted a 5-0 defeat on them at the start of February.

Arsenal’s impressive run of form commenced after a mid-season trip to Dubai, with the team securing victories in their last seven league games.

Mikel Arteta believes his team are in the best moment under him since he took charge at the Emirates in 2019.

“I’ve seen a lot of teams struggling against Sheffield United, it’s really difficult to open them up,” he said, as per talkSPORT.

“But from the beginning we showed that positivity, that quality as well. In short spaces we were really good and we looked a threat.

“The players, the form they’re in, they’re confident, the chemistry, the determination that they are showing in every ball.

“They want more and they still believe that they can improve because we can improve in certain things and it’s important that we maintain that.

“Without looking at the numbers it’s probably the best that we’ve been but it has to be at the end of the season and we are focused on that.”
