A video of Jadon Sancho’s reaction to being asked about a return to Manchester United has surfaced online.
Sancho rejoined United over the summer after a loan stint with Borussia Dortmund, appearing to mend relations with Erik ten Hag following a significant disagreement.
He trained with the Red Devils during pre-season and even took part in the Community Shield match, where he missed a penalty against Manchester City at Wembley. ..Continue Reading
Although Ten Hag publicly expressed satisfaction with Sancho, the winger ultimately joined Chelsea on transfer deadline day in a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
Sancho was awarded Man of the Match on his Chelsea debut against Bournemouth and has contributed three assists in five matches.
However, he’s recently been out of the lineup due to tactical adjustments and injury issues.
After Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, Sancho was seen leaving Stamford Bridge when a fan asked if he’d consider returning to United now that Ten Hag is no longer the manager.
The supporter shouted, “Ten Hag’s gone, you coming back to United?” Sancho did not respond, continuing to walk with his bodyguard, while another fan chimed in, claiming Sancho is “Chelsea for life.”
Sancho’s move to Chelsea is a loan, but the club is reportedly required to pay between £20 million and £25 million to secure his transfer permanently if they finish in the top 14 this season.
Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, is reportedly confident in Sancho’s potential, noting that he thrives best when he feels valued and supported.
“I have the feeling that Jadon is a guy that needs to feel love,” Maresca said back in September.
“This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us. Also he has the desire to show the player he is.
“But for me, he has to just enjoy football. It’s the reason why they play, they’re happy and they want to enjoy football.
“Then, because they’re good, they’re going to do good things.”
