Man Utd mocked by Dortmund over Jadon Sancho transfer with subtle dig

Borussia Dortmund mockingly taunted Manchester United upon finalizing Jadon Sancho’s transfer.

Dortmund reacquired Sancho from Man United following his exclusion from the first team due to a public dispute with Erik ten Hag.

The 23-year-old has now joined the Bundesliga side on a loan deal until the season’s end, without a purchase option.

Meanwhile, Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland poked fun at Manchester United as he commented on Sancho’s loan move.

United have taken another hit on social media as Dortmund have also aimed a brutal dig at the Premier League team.

They uploaded a picture of Sancho in this season’s Borussia Dortmund kit, accompanied with the caption: “You love to see it.”

The Red Devils employed the identical caption when unveiling Sancho’s signing in the summer of 2021.

Dortmund initially used the same phrase in response to rejecting the Red Devils’ bid in 2020.

On returning to Dortmund, Sancho said: “When I walked into the dressing room today, it felt like a homecoming. I know the club inside out.

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, to get out on the pitch, play with a smile on my face, set up goals, score goals and help BVB qualify for the Champions League.”

Sebastian Kehl, the club’s sporting director, added: “Jadon Sancho is an absolute difference player and I’m looking forward to seeing him back in black and yellow soon. He knows this city, Signal Iduna Park, our fans and our club.

“Even though he hasn’t played any competitive games in the past few months, we are sure that he will quickly settle back in with us, get into top form and use his qualities to help us achieve our goals for the season.”
