Mathys Tel, the promising talent from Bayern Munich, is contemplating a switch to Manchester United this upcoming summer, as he emerges as a prime target for the Premier League outfit.
The 18-year-old striker, who arrived from Rennes for a transfer fee of £24 million (including bonuses), showcased his prowess by scoring against United during their Champions League group stage encounter in September.

United, in their pursuit of bolstering their attacking options, have initiated discussions with the German club regarding a potential transfer deal, with Tel being one of the options under consideration.
Previously, there were reports indicating that Tel is aware of interest from the Premier League but remains determined to secure a prominent role at the Allianz Arena.
Despite being a part of the France Under-21 squad, Tel has only accumulated 735 minutes of playing time this season, making just three starting appearances across all competitions.
He finds himself behind Harry Kane and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in Thomas Tuchel’s hierarchy.
Tuchel’s impending departure from Bayern, announced on Wednesday, adds uncertainty to Tel’s future, especially with Bayern poised to potentially miss out on the title for the first time in 13 years, currently trailing Bayer Leverkusen by eight points.
Although Tel has steadfastly resisted previous attempts by clubs to tempt him away, Sport Bild now suggests that his stance has shifted.
The French player is reportedly seriously contemplating a move this summer, with the allure of the Premier League proving enticing.
His limited playing time at Bayern Munich is a significant factor influencing this decision, with his advisor Gadiri Camara strongly suggesting that they will explore the possibility of departing from Bayern at the conclusion of the season.
‘Sometimes you just have to have the feeling that you are on the same path,’ he said.
‘We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player.’
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Tel’s situation.
According to Sky Germany’s report this week, Bayern Munich is poised for significant squad changes, with only four players—Kane, Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer, and Thomas Muller—deemed ‘untouchable.’
Bayern has identified Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso as their top candidate to succeed Tuchel, with Alonso reportedly preferring to remain in Germany over a potential move to Liverpool, who are eyeing him as a replacement for Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is expected to prioritize signing a new striker this summer. Rasmus Hojlund is currently their only natural option at center forward, with Anthony Martial, sidelined due to a groin injury, set to depart when his contract expires at the end of the season.
