Alejandro Garnacho makes Messi comment that Ronaldo won’t like’ in chat with Man Utd fan

A supporter suggested that Alejandro Garnacho might have provoked Cristiano Ronaldo following a particular comment about Lionel Messi while the Argentine was signing autographs at Carrington.

Although he plays for Argentina in international matches, Garnacho has consistently expressed his admiration for his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo through numerous tributes.

Garnacho marked his inaugural goal for United by mimicking one of Ronaldo’s trademark celebrations. He has continued this trend by performing Ronaldo’s iconic ‘SIU’ celebration after his remarkable bicycle kick against Everton.

The teenager’s apparent fixation on the Portuguese star was mentioned by his international teammate Angel Di Maria, who suggested that Garnacho should refrain from imitating Ronaldo and instead focus on Messi.

“The only thing I wouldn’t do is celebrate Cristiano. I would score the goal and I would do like Messi does. I’ll stick with that,” Di Maria told Argentine newspaper Ole.

Notwithstanding the critique, Di Maria spoke highly of the 19-year-old winger, expressing confidence in Garnacho’s potential for significant achievements.

“He is a very fast player, he has incredible ability. He is going to gain it with experience and coming to the National Team, it is a place where you learn a lot and continue to improve. It helped me a lot to grow technically in every way, it is spectacular,” Di Maria added.

Recently, fans captured Garnacho signing autographs, and his response to a fan’s question might suggest he’s heeding Di Maria’s advice.

While signing a shirt for a young fan, Garnacho was asked about his all-time favorite footballer, and to the surprise of many, instead of saying Ronaldo.

The 19-year-old quickly replied with a smile, “Messi,” catching the fans off guard.

“Who? Oh Messi, Ronaldo is not going to like that,” The supporter told Garnacho who seemed to shrug off the comment with a laugh.
