Leandro Trossard names Arsenal’s most underrated player

Leandro Trossard has identified the player he thinks is the most undervalued in the Arsenal squad.

Trossard could easily be considered one of the most overlooked players under Mikel Arteta’s management at the Emirates Stadium.

Having joined for £27 million in the January 2023 transfer window, Trossard’s fee is relatively modest for a team aiming for the Premier League title in today’s market.

The 29-year-old has contributed to 22 goals in 50 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Following his standout performance against West Ham over the weekend, there’s a suggestion that even Mikel Arteta hasn’t fully recognized Trossard’s talent.

Nevertheless, the forward has identified another player as Arsenal’s most underrated. In a rapid-fire Q&A with Fubo, Trossard singled out Thomas Partey as someone who doesn’t receive the acknowledgment he deserves.

It’s been a challenging season for the Ghanaian, with injuries plaguing his time at North London.

The 30-year-old hasn’t featured for club or country since mid-October. Fortunately, Arsenal seem to have coped reasonably well in his absence over the past few months.

Declan Rice has undoubtedly excelled since joining the club in the summer. Meanwhile, Jorginho consistently delivers whenever he’s given the chance to represent Arsenal.

The future trajectory of Partey at the Emirates is intriguing. If the £45 million acquisition can maintain his fitness, he has the potential to become a key figure for Arteta in the coming years as Arsenal strive to compete at the top of the Premier League and contend in the later stages of the Champions League.

However, his fitness remains a significant question mark. Nonetheless, Trossard appears optimistic about Partey’s ability to contribute significantly to the Gunners.
