Captain Enzo Fernandez found the net twice, but both efforts were disallowed.
Just three minutes into the game, Fernandez scored from close range, but the goal was ruled out due to Wesley Fofana’s handball in the lead-up.
Roughly 20 minutes later, Fernandez headed in Estevao’s free kick, but Trevoh Chalobah was judged to be offside, keeping the score level.
Chelsea finally broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when a cross into the box caused confusion in Barcelona’s defense, and Kounde accidentally turned the ball into his own net.
There were questions about whether Marc Cucurella was offside during the build-up, with some camera angles suggesting he might have been.
However, a different angle shown on international broadcasts revealed that Pau Cubarsi had kept Cucurella onside.

Supporters quickly reacted online, with some still doubting the decision despite the clearer image.
One said: “This has to be a made-up image, cos the actual footage doesn’t pose anything as this.”
Another added: “Barca getting worked at the moment by Chelsea, but how was this not called offside?”
A third claimed: “Chelsea have successfully robbed their first goal cuz how’s this not offside.”
While another commented: “Chelsea and their offside goals today. Should be 0-0 still, too.”
The tension escalated just before halftime when Ronald Araujo received a second yellow card from referee Slavko Vincic for a foul on Cucurella, reducing Barcelona to ten players.
