Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is awaiting a decision from club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe as he remains uncertain about his future with the team, despite leading them to an FA Cup victory over Manchester City.
The club’s leadership is in the midst of evaluating the season before making a determination on Ten Hag’s contract.

Despite his recent success, Ten Hag has faced speculation about his dismissal, and it has been reported that he may still depart by mutual agreement.
The review process is further complicated by the interest of England manager Gareth Southgate in the United manager position, which he has stated he will not consider until after the European Championships.
While speaking last month, Southgate addressed the speculation linking him with TenHag’s job.
The England head coach said: ‘I’m not a big gambling man and bookies, they can make their odds but it’s not conversations that’s been had with me.
‘I’ve got one thing to focus on. That’s having as successful a tournament with England as possible. Everything else outside of that is a complete irrelevance to me.’
United are still considering a number of alternatives including Brentford’s Thomas Frank, but former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has fallen down the pecking order.
