After retiring, Zidane turned to management and led Real Madrid to an impressive three consecutive Champions League titles.
In 2015, he revealed that Eden Hazard was the player he most enjoyed watching after Ronaldo and Messi.
As reported by TNT Sports, the Frenchman said: “After Ronaldo and Messi, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to watch him play.
“If I see him playing for Real Madrid? I can only say I love the player. I have no doubt he will soon recover his form.”
Considered one of his generation’s brightest talents, Eden Hazard began his career with Lille in France before making a high-profile move to the Premier League, joining Chelsea in 2012.
At Stamford Bridge, Hazard established himself as one of the world’s top players, drawing attention from Real Madrid, one of La Liga’s most prestigious clubs.
In 2019, he transferred to Madrid in a deal reportedly worth €100 million. However, his time in Spain was plagued by frequent injuries, which significantly affected his performance and prevented him from reaching the level he showed at Chelsea.
Ultimately, his transfer to Madrid was seen as unsuccessful, as he struggled to regain his Chelsea-era form.
After parting ways with Madrid in the summer of 2023, Hazard retired from football in October at age 32.
Over his career, Hazard made 635 club appearances and scored 168 goals. Internationally, he represented Belgium 126 times, scoring 33 goals.
