Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has hit out at his own defence after they wasted the lead twice in their 3-3 draw with Everton.
Just days after thrashing Southampton 9-0, United were on course for another win having recovered well from a poor start to the second half.
United went into the break with a two-goal lead thanks to Edinson Cavani’s header and a sublime strike from Fernandes, only for Doucoure and James Rodriguez to draw Everton level within few minutes of the restart.
Scott McTominay put the Red devils ahead, only for Calvert-Lewin to react quickest when Lucas Digne’s free-kick was flicked on to seal Everton a point in the game.
The result means Solskjaer’s side have failed to properly close the gap to league leaders Manchester City, leaving Fernandes to hit out at his own team-mates.
‘I think we gave away the result, we gave away the game twice,’ he said. ‘Because after being 2-0 up at half-time, coming into second half in the way we did, it’s really bad.
‘We are conceding goals every game, we are conceding goals a lot of times and at home we concede too many goals.

‘Too many bad results at home and this can’t be possible. I think we have to win this game after being 2-0 up, you have to win this game. ‘It doesn’t matter how. You concede two goals and you come again and you score again.
‘It’s impossible to concede another goal again, from a free-kick in the half of the pitch, we concede a goal from there and the way we concede.’
When asked if the team may have felt the game was won before Everton’s goal, Fernandes said: ‘Maybe this was the problem, I don’t know. I don’t feel that, I don’t know what my team-mates feel but we can’t feel that until the game is over.
‘And as you see we concede the goal in the last seconds of the game.’
