Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says his Twitter account was hacked after a message ‘confirming’ Jadon Sancho will join Manchester United.
The Red devils are believed to be close to agreeing a deal to sign Sancho after failing to land him last year.
With supporters desperate for confirmation, Rashford has been hit with pleas for updates on his pages, replying ‘not just yet’ after being asked to ‘announce Sancho’ on Tuesday after England’s Euro 2020 victory over Germany.
The United attacker dropped an even bigger hint moments later when he replied ‘yes’ to a supporter asking him to confirm the transfer move is on.
Rashford has since deleted the tweets and posted on his account on Wednesday saying: ‘A little hack and I’m back. Morning all.’
United were priced out of a move for Jadon Sancho last summer as Dortmund held firm on their £110m valuation of the England international.
The Bundesliga giants have dropped their asking price this time around with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side now confident of agreeing a fee of around £85million.

Sancho has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Premier League club and will sign a contract worth around £250,000-per-week.
United also hope to sign a new central defender this summer with Real Madrid player Raphael Varane believed to be the club’s first choice.
Villarreal defender Pau Torres and Jules Kounde of Sevilla are also on their transfer list.
