Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has responded to Mohamed Salah’s revenge wishes after Manchester City win in the UEFA Champions League.
The Reds have booked their place in the Champions League final after surviving a scare against Villarreal on Tuesday to win the tie 5-2 on aggregate.
After their win, and before the other semi-finals clash between Real Madrid and Man City wrapped up, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah declared his wish to play Madrid in the final.
Salah said they [Liverpool] already lost a final to Real Madrid back in 2018 so he wants to play them again to settle the score.
The Egyptian forward got what he wanted as Ancelotti’s side did the nearly impossible task and knocked out Man City with the result of 6-5 on aggregate.
Speaking to the press after the match, Casemiro responded to Salah, saying that the game will not be an easy one.
“Everyone can choose what he wants maybe because of his previous injury,” Casemiro said.
“Its another final, another history and we respect it and know it will be difficult.”
It’s worth noting that the Champions League final is scheduled to take place on the 28th of this month at the Stade de France.
