Former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane slammed goalkeeper David de Gea after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Two goals from Gundogan were enough to keep Man City’s treble hopes alive ahead of next week’s Champions League final against Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Gundogan fired City in front after only 13 seconds – scoring the fastest goal in FA Cup final history – before Bruno Fernandes brought the Red Devils level from the penalty spot with 33 minutes gone.
And Gundogan had the final say in the contest, scoring the winner just six minutes after the break. He connected well with Kevin De Bruyne’s free-kick and fired the ball home from the edge of the box.

The German midfielder’s strike bounced on the way through, meaning De Gea was unable to scramble across quickly to keep it out and keep the scores level.
On review, the Spanish keeper ought to have done a lot better as he failed to move his feet fast enough to get across to his right side.
It meant the shot-stopper once again found himself staring criticism in the face. He will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the month but is expected to sign a new deal soon.
But, former United player Keane demanded that Man United signs a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, insisting that De Gea is “not good enough” to continue as first-choice.
“They need a new goalkeeper and world-class striker, I’m sick of saying it!” Keane told ITV Sport. “De Gea’s not good enough, he is not going to be the one to take United back to winning trophies.”
Just this week, Ten Hag conceded that David de Gea may not remain the Red Devils’ No.1 next campaign.
When asked if De Gea will stay at Old Trafford this summer, Ten Hag said: “Yes, but I will not say he’ll always be my No.1 because in a club like Man United there must be competition in all positions. You can’t do it with 11 players.
“It is impossible. You need double positions.”
