Real Madrid and local rivals Atletico Madrid are purportedly closely monitoring developments, aiming to take advantage in the summer transfer window.
While Getafe is reportedly interested in securing Greenwood on a permanent basis, only the wealthiest European clubs could match his substantial earnings with the Red Devils.
As the 22-year-old approaches the last 18 months of his contract, the prospect of a discounted transfer deal in 2024 becomes plausible.

The Red Devils set out their stall back in August by releasing a statement which read: “Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for.
“All those involved, including Mason, recognise the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United. It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome.”
