Luis Suarez has been open about the fact that his Barcelona days could soon be coming to an end.
The Uruguayan recently claimed he is aware Barca are looking at long-term options to replace him in the No.9 role as he approaches the latter stages of his career at the club.
And the 32-year-old striker has now run the rule over possible replacements – identifying Tammy Abraham as the top choice.
Chelsea striker Abraham has been in a remarkable form for Frank Lampard’s team in the Premier League, leading to admiring glances from Luis Suarez as he watches on from Spain.
Asked by One Football which No.9s he admirers, whilst considering that the day will come when he will no longer be at the club, Suarez said: “Obviously there are many very good young people who are playing.
“I personally have certain strikers that I look at because I like to watch their football, whether young or old.
“One is Abraham, the “9” of Chelsea. I think it’s a very good forward, with a very good finish, and that moves very well despite how young he is.”
The Uruguay striker went on to name Maxi Gomez and Inter Milan ace Lautaro Martinez as the two other names on his radar.
“Another one that I love is Maxi Gomez,” he added.
“Apart from being Uruguayan, he is a player who has many characteristics that any club in a center forward can look for.
