Antony made it clear that he is still keeping tabs on Manchester United after watching their 2-1 win over Liverpool on Monday.
The Brazil international has been one of United’s top targets for the summer transfer window but Ajax are standing firm over their €100m (£84.8m) valuation.
Last week, Antony refused to train with the Dutch side and sat out their 1-0 win against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday as he attempts to force through a move to United.
And it appears Antony is keeping a close eye on the club’s progress under Erik ten Hag as he posed for a photo alongside his brother while watching the big game against Liverpool.
Emerson Santos, who also acts as Antony’s finance and career manager, included a red devil emoji as he snapped a live shot of the Red devils’ game on his television.
It’s believed that Antony is intent on joining United before the end of the window, while De Telegraph claim that Ajax are unhappy with Ten Hag’s decision to push for a move so late in the transfer window.
Speaking at the weekend, Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder said that he expects Antony to remain at Ajax.
‘I just want Antony to stay, so I assume he will not be sold,’ Schreuder told ESPN.
‘The money in question is absurd, but we’ve already sold five or six core players. I don’t think it’s right if we sell another player.’
Asked if Ajax are in a position to refuse a big offer from United, Schreuder said: ‘I cannot judge that, the club has to judge that. ‘But I think we’re very strong financially.’
Asked whether he believes Antony will remain at Ajax this summer, Schreuder said: ‘My feeling about that is good, but I also understand such a boy. It is difficult.
‘But we play Champions League and I don’t think Manchester United do that. We’ll see what happens.’
