Mikel Arteta takes decision on replacing Xavi as Barcelona manager

Guillem Balague, a specialist in Spanish football, has shared his insights on the possibility of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta moving to Barcelona.

Recent reports suggest Arteta might depart from North London, especially following Xavi’s announcement of leaving the Barcelona managerial position this summer.

Given Arteta’s history as a former Barcelona player, there has been ongoing speculation about his eventual return to the club in a coaching role.

While that might be true, it would be quite unexpected for Arsenal fans if Arteta were to depart at this moment.

Despite some frustrations during the Christmas period, Arsenal remains poised for future success, with Arteta playing a crucial role in their ambitions.

Nevertheless, Guillem Balague has now shared his insights with X, shedding light on what he knows about the potential scenario of Arteta leaving Arsenal for Barcelona.

The journalist appeared equally taken aback, showing little confidence in the rumors and expecting Arteta to clarify the situation soon. Balague delivered a reassuring message late last night.

He said: “Arsenal fans can relax.

“Mikel Arteta not only didn’t have a chat with his staff about leaving at the end of the season, he has no intention to leave either. None of that is true

“The club denies there was any meeting regarding leaving the club.

“Mikel is building something special at Arsenal and has lots more to do.

“He has a press conference tomorrow and I am sure you will hear that from him too.”
