Manchester United’s skipper, Bruno Fernandes, has recently addressed speculation regarding his tenure at the club amidst rumors that nearly the entire first-team roster, save for three players, might be on the transfer list this summer.
The team has faced a tumultuous season under the guidance of Erik ten Hag and is currently struggling to secure a spot in European competitions for the upcoming year.

Despite an early exit from the Champions League during the group stages, United is set to compete against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, it’s anticipated that significant transfer activity may be challenging this summer, even though it marks the inaugural summer of INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s oversight of the club’s football operations.
James Ducker of The Telegraph has reported that United is open to negotiations for nearly all first-team members, with the exception of the promising young talents Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho, who are considered indispensable by interested parties.
Additional reports suggest that United is keen on retaining defender Harry Maguire for the forthcoming season.
This approach might lead to the potential exits of key players such as Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Lisandro Martinez during the next transfer window, should suitable bids be presented.
Notably, Fernandes, the team captain, is not excluded from these transfer discussions.
But, the Portuguese national team captain has made a statement about his commitment to Manchester United, expressing his desire to remain with the team.
He told DAZN Portugal (via Sport Witness): “I’m not thinking about other things [than the FA Cup and Euro 2024 with Portugal] at the moment.
“Obviously, it doesn’t just depend on me, does it? A player always has to want to be here, but at the same time you have to want him to stay.
“At the moment, I feel there’s that on both sides.
“I’m not thinking too much about the future, not least because, obviously, this season hasn’t been at the level I’d hoped for, either individually or collectively, so far. We could still end the season by winning the cup. After that, we have an important Euros coming up.
“If you want me to be very honest, if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros, because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros. There’s nothing more important than that.”
