Chelsea stars have reacted positively to Mauricio Pochettino’s possible arrival at Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
Another week has gone in Chelsea’s search for a new manager and Julian Nagelsmann, who was one of the frontrunners to land the job, has withdrawn from the running.
Luis Enrique fell down the pecking order after talks with Chelsea’s hierarchy this month, which has made Pochettino the favourite to become the next permanent manager at the club.

According to The Telegraph, the possibility of Pochettino’s arrival at Chelsea has left the squad ‘positive and excited’.
The report claims that Chelsea’s players have received good feedback from members of Tottenham’s squad about Pochettino’s skills and man-management style.
It’s also claimed that Chelsea’s recruitment team had reservations due to Pochettino’s previous links to Tottenham but it has ‘subsided significantly’ after positive talks.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is also on Chelsea’s shortlist but the former Manchester City skipper has distanced himself from a move to Stamford Bridge.
‘I’ve said I’m not engaging in any of these conversations,’ Kompany said after Burnley’s defeat to QPR on Saturday.
‘I have too much at this moment in time in my head in terms of wanting to win football matches. That’s the only thing I care about.’
Celtic head coach Ange Postecoglou has also been considered by Chelsea. But Celtic captain Callum McGregor has urged the club to keep the manager.
‘He’s been fantastic,’ McGregor said. ‘He’s had a really good tenure and we want to keep him. His work is outstanding and he’s a really good person. That’s the type of people you want to work with and we would be delighted to keep as long as we can.
‘His work speaks for itself, the style that he plays, the attacking and the amount of goals that we score. That’s going to get people talking but I think his full focus is going to be on the job at hand here and as long as we can keep him we will be delighted.’
