Chelsea star throws shade at Mason Mount in Instagram post after Man Utd clash

Following Chelsea’s remarkable comeback against Manchester United, a Chelsea player subtly mocked Mason Mount on social media.

In an electrifying Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, Chelsea overturned a 3-2 deficit to triumph over Man United with a score of 4-3.

Cole Palmer emerged as the hero, netting two decisive goals during stoppage time to clinch a surprising victory.

He first equalized from the penalty spot and then notched the winning goal in the 101st minute.

Mount, who celebrated his inaugural goal for the team in the previous match against Brentford, entered the game in the 86th minute to a mixed reception.

A confrontation ensued between Enzo Fernandez and the ex-Chelsea luminary, while Alfie Gilchrist added insult to injury with his online remarks.

Post-game, Gilchrist, who substituted in at the 75th minute, appeared to take a swipe at Mount in his Instagram update.

He uploaded an image of himself next to Mason Mount, accompanied with the caption: “We fight till the end.”

Chelsea’s victory against Manchester United has propelled them back into the upper echelon of the league standings, securing the 10th spot with a tally of 43 points.

In the aftermath of the game, Palmer attributed the team’s successful turnaround to Mauricio Pochettino’s influence in orchestrating Chelsea’s comeback win.

“It was a crazy game,” he told TNT Sports. “When we scored in the 98th minute I thought let’s go for it. Madness.

“I didn’t know what to do. I was running round when I scored. A hat-trick is a hat-trick. It was my first one, I’m really happy about it.

“When we scored he [Pochettino] said there’s two minutes left, come on. He’s always trying to drive us on. We went for it and thankfully we scored.

“It’s a big winner. It’s a massive momentum booster. It puts everyone in a good mood. Hopefully we can kick on.”
