Arsenal are finally set to complete the re-signing of Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos on another season-long loan deal today, according to reports.
The 24-year-old midfielder spent the 2019/20 season at Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid, helping fire the gunners to their FA Cup triumph.
It was a slow start to life at the Emirates for Ceballos, struggling initially to break into the team under Emery and then suffering an injury in November which kept him out of football action for two months.
But, his fortunes began to turn around under new manager Arteta, and particularly after the Premier League restart, when he formed a good partnership with Granit Xhaka in midfield.
Ceballos returned to Real Madrid at the end of the season to consider his future and even took part in training with Zinedine Zidane’s side earlier this week.
However, the player has been allowed to return to Arsen on another season-long loan and according to ABC, he jetted into London on Wednesday to complete a medical ahead of his return.
According to reports, he will sign the contract today to keep him at the club until next summer. And the news will be a big boost for Arsenal boss Arteta, who relied heavily on Ceballos as a creative player in midfield.

Ceballos is set to join Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes as Arsenal’s third major summer signing ahead of next season.
Due to current government guidelines, Dani Ceballos must quarantine for two weeks like other persons who arrive into the UK from Spain.
New signings to Premier League teams are not exempted from such guidelines and Gabriel Magalhaes is still in quarantine after joining Arsenal from Lille.
