Upon his return to the German club, Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho faced an uncomfortable moment as his requests to take a penalty were dismissed by a teammate during his first start.
Having been excluded from the first team at Manchester United, Sancho finalized his loan move back to the Bundesliga last week.

Following a cameo appearance off the bench where he contributed an assist in his first game back, manager Edin Terzic rewarded him with a spot in the starting XI against FC Koln on Saturday.
Dortmund secured a comfortable 4-0 victory, and Sancho earned a penalty for his team in the second half with a skillful run into the box.
Niclas Fullkrug retrieved the ball for the spot kick, while Sancho approached him, urgently pleading, ‘give me the ball! Give me the ball!’
Despite Sancho’s plea, Fullkrug proceeded to take the penalty, scoring himself and extending Dortmund’s lead to 2-0. Sancho promptly congratulated his teammate upon the successful goal.
Dortmund secured a comfortable 4-0 victory, and Sancho earned a penalty for his team in the second half with a skillful run into the box.
Speaking after the game, Fullkrug conceded Sancho was desperate to take the penalty before backing him to open his account for the club again next week.
‘He asked me if it was okay if he shot. I then said: “No, I’ll do it today.” Then he jumped right into it and said: “All right, hit it. Thank you for giving me the assist.”
‘Normally I’m at the top with Marco (Reus) and Emre (Can). Jadon would definitely have converted it too. He really wanted to score his first goal for BVB again . That’s coming next week.’
Asked to rate Dortmund’s chances of signing Sancho at the end of the season, Kehl recenrlt told Sky90: ‘Realistically speaking, not that much.
‘Manchester United paid over €85m for him two-and-a-half years ago and there was no way for us to secure a purchase option in a way that was economically viable.
The salary is one thing, the transfer package is another.
‘If he develops in the way we hope, then other clubs will become active in the summer and then he will probably be a category of player that will be difficult for Borussia Dortmund to afford. But we’ll see what happens in the summer.’
