Alejandro Garnacho’s brother trolls Liverpool & Carragher with X-rated comment

Alejandro Garnacho’s sibling couldn’t resist a playful jab at Jamie Carragher and Liverpool following their surprising 3-0 loss to Atalanta.

In the Europa League quarter-final’s opening leg at Anfield, Liverpool’s defeat halted their impressive 33-match unbeaten home streak, with the unexpected nature and extent of the loss causing quite a stir.

Despite early opportunities, Liverpool fell behind when Gianluca Scamacca, the ex-West Ham striker, scored from a Davide Zappacosta delivery.

The score doubled at the hour mark, with Scamacca again finding the net, this time with an unchallenged shot into the lower corner from within the box.

Liverpool’s woes continued as Mohamed Salah’s goal was disallowed for offside. Later, Mario Pasalic sealed the deal with a goal following Caoimhin Kelleher’s deflection of Ederson’s shot.

This setback for the Reds came on the heels of their 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, a match that may be critical for their Premier League title hopes.

Post-game, Garnacho’s brother, riding high from Garnacho’s goal in Sunday’s match, took the opportunity to tease Liverpool and the iconic Carragher with a witty remark.

Taking to Twitter, he told Carragher: “Your team is absolutely dogs**t.”

Carragher, too, was less than impressed with Liverpool’s outing, though he chose not to express his thoughts in the same manner on social media and has not responded to the aforementioned taunt.

Rather, he offered his assessment of the Reds’ performance, highlighting a solitary silver lining in the midst of the significant 3-0 loss at Anfield, which might just benefit Klopp’s team for the remainder of the campaign.

He wrote: “Awful result and performance from Liverpool.

“The only consolation about getting beat so heavily is Jurgen should play a full second string in the second leg and go all in for the league!”
