Alejandro Garnacho filmed mocking top-four rival with two team-mates

Manchester United has shared a video from their training where Alejandro Garnacho appears to playfully imitate Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz’s dance, joined by Willy Kambwala and Amad Diallo.

Luiz’s memorable dance came after he scored a leveling goal against United in February, which ultimately was in vain as they lost 2-1 at Villa Park.

Rasmus Hojlund was the first to score, giving the visitors an early lead in the 17th minute, after which Villa began to dominate.

Luiz’s goal in the second half capitalized on Villa’s superior play, followed by his celebratory dance in front of the elated Holte End supporters.

Nonetheless, Scott McTominay’s late goal at the 86th minute secured the win for United, marking Villa’s third straight loss at home across all competitions.

The Brazilian midfielder faced teasing online following the pivotal match, with some attributing the loss to his earlier exuberant celebration.

This moment also seems to have resonated with Erik ten Hag’s players, as seen in a recent training session at Carrington.

In the brief clip, Garnacho is seen celebrating, mimicking Luiz’s dance, with Darren Fletcher clapping in the background.

The scene shifts to Kambwala and Amad, who join in on Garnacho’s mimicry, all in good spirits.

For the time being, Luiz and Villa have reasons to smile, sitting fourth in the league with nine games remaining.

Unai Emery’s team is currently nine points ahead of United, having played one more game, and recently managed a draw against West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur sits between the two, six points ahead of United, potentially securing a Champions League spot.

The England national team is a top contender for Euro 2024, and fans can gear up with the latest Nike kits before the tournament kicks off.

United’s challenging schedule includes away games at Chelsea and Brighton and Hove Albion, plus home matches against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United in their last 10 games.

Ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford may hinge on the team’s ability to maintain their Champions League position.

United’s pursuit of their 13th FA Cup title continues, following an exciting 4-3 win over Liverpool in the quarter-finals and an upcoming semi-final against Coventry City.

However, a similar achievement did not save Louis van Gaal in 2016 due to poor league performance, so Ten Hag is under pressure to deliver strong results leading up to May.
