Thierry Henry has reportedly recommended the signing of Sambi Lokonga to Arsenal from Belgian side Anderlecht.
The midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Belgium after making his breakthrough at Anderlecht and has already captained the club this campaign.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently in the market for a new midfielder after the exit of Dani Ceballos and have made Brighton star Yves Bissouma one of their major targets.
But according to Voetbal24, the gunners also have Lokonga on their summer shortlist to improve their defensive midfield options.
The report claims that Arsenal have been considering a move for the player but Henry has now personally vouched for Lokonga in talks with the club’s hierarchy.
According to reports, Anderlecht will demand a fee around £17million for the 21-year-old.

Lokonga has missed out on working alongside Henry with Belgium’s national team at the Euros this summer as he did not make the senior squad.
But the midfielder has already been named on Belgium’s reserve list.
While speaking last month, Mikel Arteta promised that Arsenal’s squad will be given an overhaul this summer transfer window.
‘The squad needs changing,’ said the Arsenal manager. ‘There were already a lot of changes in December, something that has not been done in years, but it tells us where we were. Things are going to have to change and the owners are going to back it up.’
