Liverpool and United target Nicolas Pepe makes transfer decision

Nicolas Pepe is set to snub interest from several Premier League big clubs and sign for Bayern Munich instead.

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out to German giants Bayern Munich in the race for highly-rated Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivory Coast international attracted the attention of big European teams last season, after scoring 22 goals in all competitions and helping Lille secure Champions League qualification in the process.

Both Liverpool and United have been linked with the 24-year-old for a while now, but are now poised to look out after Bayern Munich upped the intensity of their approach in order to sign the explosive winger.

That is according to the Sun, who claim the Germans giants are ready to pay £70million in order to bring Nicolas Pepe to Bavaria.

Bayern are desperately looking for attacking reinforcement this summer window, after the exits of club legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

The ageing duo have departed the club this month, following the expiration of their contracts.

Bayern Munich are now left with a depleted front line, and are also tracking Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi with the hope of bringing him to Germany.

However, Chelsea are desperate to retain their star asset, particularly following the recent departure of talisman Eden Hazard to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Bayern have also inquired about Manchester City’s winger Leroy Sane, who fell down the pecking order last campaign under Pep Guardiola due to the rise of Bernardo Silva in the team.
