What Lukaku said to camera as Tuchel screams at Chalobah in Chelsea win

Chelsea looked back to somewhat near their outstanding best against Leeds United – and the timing couldn’t have been anymore perfect, with goals from Lukaku, Mount and Pulisic.

The Blues make the trip to Wembley on Saturday to take on Liverpool in the FA Cup final and the win on Wednesday will give them some much-needed confidence ahead of the showdown.

Many believed Chelsea would have had one eye, or perhaps more, on the final for their trip to Elland Road. But that was not the casem

The Blues took the lead after just four minutes after a beautiful goal from Mason Mount. The England star then turned provider in the second-half, setting Christian Pulisic up to make it 2-0.

Romelu Lukaku then scored his third goal in two games in the last 10 minutes to seal the three points for the London side. That means he has netted his 15th goal in all competitions for Chelsea this season.

The Belgian, who has been heavily criticised since re-joining Chelsea last summer, is coming back into the form he showcased after arriving back at Stamford Bridge. His overall display against Leeds was exceptional. He looked hungry and determined to score.

After scoring against Leeds, Lukaku went over to the Sky Sports TV camera and had a message. It looked like, although this cannot be confirmed, he said the words: “I’m back!”.

Meanwhile, Chalobah finally returned to the team since the win over West Ham last month and he didn’t disappoint. The defender looked composed on the right side of defence.

After scrapping with Rodrigo near the touchline, Chalobah gave away a foul after some consideration from referee Anthony Taylor. When Taylor blew the whistle, Tuchel shouted at Chalobah, gesturing that his positioning was wrong in the build-up.

“We informed the team very late today who plays. He did maybe not expect it,” Tuchel said on Chalobah returning to the side after the game. “It was the same against West Ham where he came in on short notice.

“In both matches, he delivered. This is the level he can deliver and it’s about consistency. He lacked it a little in the last weeks and we did some other choices which is normal. He needs to stay humble, hard working and he can be a big part of it.”
