Man Utd feared Jadon Sancho had grounds to sue them

According to a new report, Manchester United were concerned that Jadon Sancho might have legal grounds to sue the club over how Erik ten Hag handled him in 2022.

The Daily Mail states that United’s worries stemmed from Ten Hag publicly mentioning that Sancho was struggling with mental health issues, which led to concerns within the club’s Human Resources department…

Although Ten Hag believed he was being supportive, it’s reported that he did not obtain Sancho’s consent to discuss these personal matters with the media.

At the time, there was tension between the two, with Ten Hag accusing Sancho of being unprofessional, and Sancho denying the claims.

Sancho felt he was being unfairly treated by his manager, which ultimately led to him seeking a fresh start with a loan move to Borussia Dortmund last season.

Now, after making only one appearance this season in the Community Shield, Sancho is expected to leave United before the transfer deadline, with Juventus reportedly interested in signing him.

It seems Sancho is finally ready to close the chapter on his troubled time at United, where he scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 83 games.
