Manchester United (Man Utd) are currently in internal talks regarding the potential signing of Dutch forward Donyell Malen during the January transfer window.
Malen, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund, has scored five goals for the German club this season.

According to Football Transfers, United is showing interest in Malen, and the board is contemplating a potential move for the striker.
The 24-year-old might be the inaugural signing under the new Manchester United investor, INEOS, who is reportedly targeting cost-effective and loan acquisitions this month to adhere to Financial Fair Play rules.
While Borussia Dortmund is hesitant to part with Malen, there’s a possibility of persuasion by United, especially after the recent transfer of Jadon Sancho. An agreement could be reached, involving both Malen and Sancho switching clubs.
United is aiming to address their goal-scoring challenges, as players like Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, and seasoned athletes such as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have struggled to hit peak form this season.
Consequently, the team has faced difficulties across various competitions, failing to secure a top-four position in the Premier League and experiencing eliminations from both the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Whether Malen can be the solution to their issues remains uncertain. Despite his tenure at Dortmund, the young attacker’s goal-scoring record in Germany hasn’t been particularly impressive, failing to reach double digits in the last two campaigns.
With Jadon Sancho’s imminent departure on loan and the potential exit of Martial at the season’s end, Malen could be the player offering Erik ten Hag a fresh attacking option upfront.
