Manchester United is poised for an active summer in the transfer market as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS aim to make their impact at the commencement of their sporting venture.
Casemiro is among the prominent players who have been strongly linked to an imminent departure from Old Trafford, with the possibility of reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr looming large.

The 31-year-old Brazilian midfielder has been identified as one of the Saudi Pro League’s upcoming marquee transfer targets.
Having joined United in a £70 million deal from Real Madrid in 2022, Casemiro’s transfer reportedly raised concerns at INEOS, who might be willing to capitalize on an opportunity to recoup some of the hefty fee this summer.
Casemiro made a significant impact in his debut season with the Red Devils, playing a crucial role in Ten Hag’s successful start as manager.
Under his influence, United secured a third-place finish in the Premier League and ended a six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup in February.
However, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS closely monitoring the club, a potential departure for Casemiro cannot be ruled out, even if he regains his top form upon returning from a lengthy injury in the FA Cup fourth-round clash against Newport County later this month.
Foot Mercato suggests that Ronaldo may play a pivotal role in Casemiro’s potential exit. The 38-year-old has purportedly requested Al-Nassr to pursue Casemiro later this year, aiming to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate.
Casemiro is reportedly open to a move to Saudi Arabia after just two years in Manchester.
While he faced challenges at the beginning of the campaign adapting to Ten Hag’s demands with two advanced midfielders ahead of him, the Dutchman holds Casemiro in high regard and would likely consider a move to the Middle East as a significant loss.
Towards the end of the previous season, Ten Hag praised Casemiro as a serial winner and acknowledged his substantial contribution to the rebuilding process at Old Trafford.
“He’s a massive player. Such a good signing. He adapted so well to Premier League football. He missed many games, and we noticed that,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports after Casemiro scored in a 4-1 victory against Chelsea.
“When he’s not there, our game is different. You see how important he is in everything. This week, twice he’s scored. The first goal is always the most important of the game. He’s doing a massive job, and we’re really happy.”
