Man Utd send warning to Mason Greenwood about behaviour

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has been warned by the club about his behavior after recent issues, which includes time-keeping problems.

The England star, who came through United academy before establishing himself in the first team last campaign, has been reminded of his responsibilities.

It is believed Greenwood, who missed the games against Newcastle and PSG, has a minor injury described by Solskjaer as a “niggle”.

Greenwood was conspicuous by his absence from the team versus Newcastle, only to be seen in training on Monday.

But he did not travel to Paris, where, and Solskjaer laughed off rumours that the forward and Brandon Williams were left out of the Newcastle win due to disciplinary reasons.

“So if that’s the case why is Brandon here? So, where’s your sources? That’s what I’m saying,” the United manager said. “No (truth whatsoever).”

Asked to clarify the nature of the injury, Solskjaer said: “Well, that’s between… I can’t declare medical stuff, can I? It’s just a niggle and, as young as he is, we don’t want to take any chances with him so hopefully the weekend he’ll be fine again.”

The Red devils’ action comes just a few weeks after the forward was sent home from England duty after breaching Coronavirus rules in Iceland.

Greenwood scored 17 goals for the club last season even and made his England debut in the victory over Iceland in September.
