Mertens, however, does have several offers on the table for him ahead of the next window.
Arsenal were also linked with a move for Mertens during the winter window, but passed on the opportunity to sign him due to his age.
Mertens turns 33 next week, but he continues to be an excellent source of goals for his side Napoli with 12 goals in 29 games this campaign.
Frank Lampard sees the Belgian as an excellent addition to his front line due to his versatility.
It is only in recent years that Dries Mertens has played as a centre-forward having previously been used on the left wing for Napoli.
