However, the potential transfer hinges on the club’s ability to accommodate Mbappe’s wages, and it is stated in a Le Parisien report, as cited by Caught Offside, that Liverpool might only afford such a deal if they offload Salah from their current wage bill.
During the summer transfer window, Salah was linked with a move to the Saudi Professional League, with Al Ittihad expressing interest.
However, Liverpool swiftly rejected any advances. While Liverpool fans would undoubtedly welcome Salah staying at the club, it raises the question of whether his continued presence might impact the feasibility of pursuing Mbappe.
Salah showcased his exceptional skills with a standout performance during Liverpool’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday, underlining his crucial role in the team.

Back in July, Jurgen Klopp was asked about signing Mbappe, he said: “We laugh about it. I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all.
“I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.”
Klopp added: “It’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me, but that hasn’t happened in the eight years that I’ve been here. That would be the first time.”
