David Moyes sends message to Solskjaer after Man Utd approach Pochettino

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has told Solskjaer that the pressure he will be feeling at the club is greater than any other job in football.

Moyes was the first United manager to be sacked after Sir Alex Ferguson left the club and as results continue to worsen Solskjaer is under pressure and could become the fourth, after Louis van Gaal & Jose Mourinho.

The 2-1 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday has piled more pressure on Solskjaer, who faces a crucial trip to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, ahead of the international break.

United have won only four of their nine Premier League and Champions League matches so far this campaign and find themselves down in 15th in the table.

According to reports, United had made contact with Pochettino over the possibility of him succeeding Solskjaer if he is unable to turn things around.

Moyes experienced the pressure cooker at United himself in lasting less than a season and knows winning games is the only way for Solskjaer to avoid the sack.

“All managers are under pressure,” he said. “At Manchester United there is more pressure than any club in the world. It comes with the job.

“We know what happens if you don’t win enough games.”
