Cristiano Ronaldo has broken FIFA record for the most goals in football history after taking his tally to 807 strikes.
United sealed a 3-2 victory to move back into fourth place with Ronaldo scoring two goals in the first-half either side of Harry Kane’s penalty to become the leading goal scorer in history.
Tottenham drew level in the second-half after a Harry Maguire own goal but Ronaldo was again the club’s saviour, rising to score a third with nine minutes of the clash left.

Ronaldo matched the record held by Austrian-Czech Josef Bican 12 minutes in, lashing home career goal no.805 with a good strike from 25 yards out.
It came against the run of play as Tottenham exposed the Red devils’ backline early on – with Eric Dier denied a goal after a goal line clearance from Diogo Dalot.
The equaliser came after 35 minutes with Dejan Kulusevski causing problems on the right. When his cross bounced off the arm of Allex Telles, referee Jonathan Moss pointed to the spot with Kane getting the goal.
Ronaldo’s record-breaking moment came three minutes later, latching onto Jadon Sancho’s superb cross to make history with his 806th career goal.
United invited pressure upon themselves in the second-half and were punished when Reguilon’s cross found its way into the back of the net off Maguire.
And Cristian Romero, who Reguilon was trying to cross to, was offside with the goal likely to have been cancelled.
A draw or defeat would have served as another huge blow for United’s top four hopes with Arsenal now holding four games in hand over them.
But Ronaldo was their saviour again, however, sealing his first hat-trick for them since January 2008 after rising above Matt Doherty to slam home an header from a Telles corner.
Ronaldo scored five goals for Sporting before joining Man Utd in 2003, netting 118 times in his first spell at Old Trafford. He went on to become Madrid’s record scorer with 450 goals and struck 101 times in three years at Juventus, while he’s scored 17 goals since returning to United.
