Manchester United’s senior squad members are infuriated by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s failings with his players and have noticed that Cristiano Ronaldo has become irritated with Mason Greenwood as a result.
Solskjaer’s position as United manager is under huge threat after their 5-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.
On Monday, reports claimed that the club’s hierarchy are now considering sacking Solskjaer before the club’s next Premier League clash against Tottenham on Saturday.

The humbling defeat to The Reds has now left United with three defeats in their last four Premier League matches, while it’s believed members of the squad are questioning Solskjaer’s position at the club.
According to ESPN, among the major concerns raised by some of the club’s players is Solskjaer’s inability to get the best out of Ronaldo and Greenwood pairing.
United’s players are reportedly aware that Ronaldo and Greenwood do not pass often to each other on the pitch and that Ronaldo has become ‘visibly irritated’ by what he believes to be poor decision making from the youngster.
It’s also reported that United players are frustrated with the lack of tactical direction from Solskjaer and feel there is a ‘favouritism’ towards some members of the team who are underperforming.
Ronaldo has now gone four Premier League matches without scoring a single goal – his longest run in the league since he was with Real Madrid in 2015.
The Portugal international has also been forced to hit back at critics who have questioned his work rate since returning to Old Trafford.
‘I know when the team needs my help defensively,’ Ronaldo told Sky Sports. ‘But my role in the club is to win, help the team to win and to score goals – is part of my job.
‘The people who don’t want to see that is because they don’t like me but to be honest I’m 36, I win everything so am I going to be worried about the people who say bad things about me? I sleep good at night. I go to my bed with my conscience very good. Keep going with that because I will still close mouths and win things.
‘Criticism is always part of the business. I’m not worried about that. And I see it as a good thing, to be honest. If they worry about me or they speak about me, it’s because they know my potential and value in football still. So it’s good. I’ll give you an example: if you’re in a school and you’re the best student, you ask the worst student if he likes the best, they’ll say they don’t like him.
‘I think the main word is that I’m still happy and enjoying football. It doesn’t matter how many things I won in my career. I win everything but I’m still motivated. I’m in a new chapter of my life, even with my age, and this is why I am here – to try to win and I think Manchester needs to be at this level of winning and thinking to win big things so I’m here to help.’
