Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wants to sign four players this summer, with Erling Haaland the German’s first choice centre forward target.
Roman Abramovich is set to give Tuchel enough funds to spend this summer after being impressed by hus work in his six months at Chelsea.
Tuchel guided the blues back into the top four, to an FA Cup final and to Champions League victory after taking over from Frank Lampard in January.
That saw Tuchel rewarded with a new deal but Chelsea’s board want to further demonstrate their belief in him by meeting his demands in the market.
The club’s need for a striker is well documented and Haaland is Tuchel’s first choice.
The 20-year-old is averaging a goal-a-game at Dortmund and the German team are open to offers for the striker this summer, as his contract includes a £62m release clause that will start in 2022.
Chelsea are willing to include Tammy Abraham in the deal to sign Haaland, with the England star valued at around £40m by the Blues.

Chelsea are aware that the deal for Haaland will be difficult but Tuchel’s targets do not stop with the Norwegian star.
Tuchel believes Chelsea need a centre-back, given Thiago Silva will likely play a last season at the club and will need replacing.
The German favoured a back three for last season and he feels he needs a right wing-back to compete with Reece James, as Azpilicueta is more adept at right centre-back.
Tuchel’s last wish is to sign a new midfielder. Chelsea are open to offers for Jorginho and the coach wants a box-to-box midfielder to compete with N’Golo Kante and Kovacic.
Chelsea have also been linked with Wolves winger Adama Traore as a possible option at wing-back.
