Manchester United’s back-up goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, will miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool due to a muscle strain.
Consequently, he will also be unavailable for Turkey’s upcoming friendlies against Hungary and Austria later this month.

In his absence, Tom Heaton, who returned to full training this week after an eight-game absence due to a minor injury, is expected to be named on the bench.
Bayindir, who made his sole appearance for United against Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round, was not slated to start against Liverpool.
Additionally, Jonny Evans will be absent this weekend as he requires a recovery period to overcome a knock he has been managing.
Gareth Southgate confirmed that Harry Maguire, who resumed training, could replace Evans alongside Raphael Varane. Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand hinted that Rasmus Hojlund, recovering from a muscular problem for the past three weeks, might start against Liverpool.
Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, will provide further updates on the team’s fitness during his pre-match press conference later today.
“Obvious, Rasmus will play on Sunday against Liverpool and must go through the match well,” Hjulmand said on Tuesday. “That’s what we expect. We are in contact with United. I have talked to Erik, and we expect it to happen.
“But it is clear that he has to go through the match well, and there must be nothing wrong with him after the game, for it to be possible (for him to play for Denmark).”
Maguire earned a spot in Southgate’s England squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, while Hojlund secured a place in the Denmark squad.
Following prolonged absences, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Mason Mount returned to full training on Tuesday.
