‘We are finished’ and ‘he’s overrated’ – United fans blast club’s decision to hand Rashford new £250k-a-week deal

Some Manchester United supporters have hit back at the club after reports emerged that the Red Devils are set to hand Marcus Rashford a lucrative new deal.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United are close to agreeing a new four-year contract with Marcus Rashford, it’s understood that the deal will be worth a whopping £250,000-a-week, the four-year deal is also believed to include an option for United to extend the deal by a another year.




The report claims that United are hoping to make an announcement on Marcus Rashford’s contract renewal before they fly out to Australia for their pre-season on July 8.

Rashford flourished in the opening stages of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign as United manager, the 21-year-old has since managed to establish himself as the club’s first-choice striker over Romelu Lukaku.

In recent years, United have made many poor moves but handing Rashford this bumper new deal might not really be one of them, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply can’t afford to lose the England international on a free transfer.
