Chelsea got their pre-season campaign off and running with a huge 6-1 win over Peterborough United at their training base at Cobham.
Thomas Tuchel fielded two different starting lineups in each half as he sought to give his entire team some minutes after the summer break.
Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater, Hudson-Odoi, Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr and Zappacosta were among those who started the game with Ziyech coming off the bench to score a hat-trick in the win behind closed doors.
The London club fell behind earlier on in the friendly with Siriki Dembele opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
However, Tammy Abraham brought the game level before Christian Pulisic scored a spot-kick of his own to ensure his team went into the break with the lead.
Loftus-Cheek, Armando Broja, Conor Gallagher, Baba Rahman and Ziyech were among those who came on for the second-half with the Moroccan on the scoresheet after firing home.
The former Ajax attacker grabbed another two goals with 19-year-old Broja also on target.
