Chelsea seem to have moved a step closer to signing transfer target Kai Havertz after reports emerged that he completed a medical last Sunday.
Chelsea have been in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen about signing the Germany international for several weeks now, but a deal is still yet to be confirmed officially.
According to reports, an agreement of £72million plus add-ons has already been agreed for Kai Havertz and now the finishing touches are being put on the move.
And, according to German publication Bild, Havertz has already passed a medical ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge and they claim that all formalities have been completed.
This now leaves a clear path for the German midfielder to finally complete a move to Chelsea ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Havertz would follow fellow Germany star Timo Werner to Chelsea after his compatriot signed for the club from RB Leipzig this summer.
Along with Werner, Chelsea have also signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester, Malang Sarr from Nice and Thiago Silva.

Leverkusen head coach Peter Bosz, confirmed on Monday that Kai Havertz will no longer train with the squad due to his impending transfer move.
“Unfortunately, our squad has not yet been determined,” he said. “I don’t expect Kevin Volland and Kai Havertz to train with us again. It is possible that other players will also change. We definitely need to bring in players.”
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Germany squad in Stuttgart on Monday before the Nations League matches against Spain and Switzerland.
