Cristiano Ronaldo is still hopeful of securing a move to Manchester City this summer despite Pep Guardiola’s side rejecting a deal for the Juventus star, according to reports.
City have suffered a huge blow in their pursuit of a new striker after Harry Kane confirmed he will be staying at Tottenham for at least another campaign.
The Blues had made Kane their major target after signing Jack Grealish but are now considering their options as the transfer window closes in.

Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus before the deadline and is pushing for a return to England with City, despite spending six years at Manchester United.
But Man City have so far shown a reluctance in making a move for the Portugal international.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has held discussions with City but the Premier League champions are not willing to meet Juventus’ £21m asking price.
City are also believed to be reluctant to break their wage structure by matching Ronaldo’s £510,000-per-week deal he earns at Juve.
But, The Times report that sources close to the player claim that he ‘has still not given up hope of joining City’, despite the obstacles.
Ronaldo is currently short of options in terms of his next club with a return to Real Madrid off the table as the Spanish side are focused on signing Kylian Mbappe.
PSG have also given no indication to Ronaldo’s camp that they would be interested in signing the forward to play alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.
