Former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has not yet been approached by Real Madrid, according to his brother and agent Daniele.
Madrid’s current manager Julen Lopetegui is under intense criticism after the team’s poor start to the campaign.
According to reports, Conte is one of Madrid’s main candidates to replace Lopetegui and the Champions League holders have already been in touch with the Italian.
But Daniele Conte, who represents his brother, insists Real have not spoken to him.
‘Antonio is on holiday, he has not received any calls from Real Madrid,’ Daniele told Cadena SER.
‘Yes, Real Madrid is a great team but there has been no contact.’
Conte, who was sacked by Chelsea this summer, has not reached an agreement with his former club over the £9 million they are owing him in severance pay.
The 49-year-old won the Premier League trophy in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge and signed off his stint at the club with a win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
