Cristiano Ronaldo chose not to celebrate with his Manchester United teammates after the 2-0 victory over Tottenham and left Old Trafford before the match had ended, according to reports.
Goals from Fred and Bruno Fernandes gave the Red Devils a deserved win over Spurs on Wednesday evening.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, started the the game on the bench and in the 90th minute the Portugal international headed down the tunnel, even though Ten Hag still had two substitutions available.
According to The Athletic, not only did Ronaldo leave the dugout before the final whistle was blown but he also left Old Trafford before the match had ended.
The report claims that Ronaldo did not join in with the club’s post-match celebrations in their dressing room but his actions ‘didn’t make a ripple’ with his teammates.
When asked about Ronaldo’s actions after the game, Ten Hag said he would ‘deal’ with the situation at Carrington on Thursday.
‘Yeah, I don’t pay attention to that, we deal with that tomorrow,’ Ten Hag said. ‘We want to focus on this team, it was a magnificent performance from all 11 players.

‘I have to mention, I said 11 players, I have to correct myself: it was a performance also from the subs who came on who had a good role and, once again, it was a squad performance.
‘And, in answer to your question, we deal with that tomorrow and what we have seen today was 11 players who defend, 11 players who attack there was a lot of dynamic in the attack as well. I am pleased with that but I won’t say I am totally satisfied because good is not good enough, that has to be the standard here.’
