Chelsea have now reached an agreement to sign Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid, according to the Athletic.

A deal is yet to be signed, but the Premier League team are expected to pay in the region of €11m (£9.68m) fee, which is below what the La Liga club wanted before
There has been major interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, but Felix is set to join Chelsea, having been attracted by their project and the opportunity to work with Graham Potter.
United reportedly balked at the loan fee being demanded by the Spanish club and have now turned their attention to former Burnley striker Wout Weghorst.
Arsenal are also seeking reinforcements in attack but were also put off by the price, and discussions with Atletico in a bid to lower it.
But now, if all goes to plan he will be followed to Stamford Bridge by more reinforcements this month. The West London club are keen to revitalise their attack.
Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin seemed resigned to letting Felix leave the club last month.
“The reasonable thing is to think he (Joao Felix) will leave,” he said to TVE. “Although I would love him to stay, that is not the player’s idea.”
The Athletic reported this month that Atletico had been seeking a €21m (£18.6m; $22.5m) package, comprising a €15m loan fee plus €6m gross salary.
Felix has shown flashes of brilliance this campaign for Atletico but both he and the La Liga side have struggled for consistency.
The Portuguese star has five goals and three assists in 20 club games this season, having been used across the front line in a variety of different formations by Diego Simeone.
Felix started in a front two for Atletico on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to league leaders Barcelona. He was eventually substituted after 73 minutes.
Chelsea have already been active in the January window, bringing in David Datro Fofana from Molde and defender Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.
Both were named as substitutes for Chelsea’s FA Cup third-round game against Manchester City, with Fofana making his debut during the embarrassing 4-0 defeat.
